Happy Thanksgiving week everyone! There is something about loss which causes you to step back and take a difficult look at your life. You can come away from this process bitter and hardened. Or you can come through it awakening to a deeper sense of gratitude and love.

It wasn't easy, but reflecting on this past year, I have to say that I am grateful not only to the good times, to the friends who walked into my life when everyone else walked out, to the still small voice of God, but also to the darkness for it is because of it that I am now able to live with greater presence and awareness of beauty and light.

In gratitude,
